Designer Report | ASGER JUEL LARSEN(LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION BA MENSWEAR 2009)

Seems to me like the most inspired and creative collections tend to come from students and amateur designers rather than those creative directors of multi-million dollar brands. This was only reaffirmed when I was sent Asger Juel Larsen's lookbook. Debuted as a part of the London College of Fashion BA Menswear 2009, the collection connotes masculinity in every which way. Inspired by medieval warfare, Larsen used such materials as leather, PVC and rubber cords to recreate Armour in a modern way. And with varied silhouettes, he sort of conformed a contradictory - voluminous and slim, with broad and wide tops and slim bottoms. Though not entirely wearable, we must say that we see a creative genius in the makings. More from the designer after the jump.
