We must give Z Zegna’s Creative Director Alessandro Sartori his props for an impressive showing for the spring 2010 collection. With inspiration flowing from a period of time where top hats and tails were the creme de la creme, the collection interprets it in a modern and fresh manner that gives a new light to the term 'gentleman'. With suit coats lengthened, the fit brings in a whole new ball game with the sleeves and bodies severly cut to showcase the masculine physique. With a color palette that remains true to black, white, and shades of blue, much attention is payed to detail with leather and other textures and fabric. Footwear is not one to shy away from attention with interesting cuts and coloring. Z Zegna successfully merges the drama of the runway with the wearability of the real world, and we like it.
