Collection Report | Zara A/W 09-10

Zara has always been a big hit in the DC fashion scene, and rightfully so. The European brand resist following trends and instead stays true to a clear design aesthetic that has remained constant - young, professional, and powerful. For their A/W 09-10 collection they don't change much up, but that is a consistency that we can respect. Staying true to their nature, the collection consist of outerwear that plays with a recuperated trend, double-breasting. Blazers are present, the classic button-downs, and suiting that is fit for a king. Playing up their European origin, the collection exudes European class with the 'avant-garde'ish grungy long-sleeved shirt that fits to a tee and fur that is present in a complicated jacket that is sure to be a hit. While these two pieces are rather unexpected, the rest is what we have come to love from Zara. Expect the collection to be shelved in the Georgetown location far before it reaches it Chinatown counterpart. More after the jump. And P.S. check out the footwear, which has always tickled my fancy.
